From your first day of class to exam day

Pick the topic you’re covering in class and find short lessons, study sheets, and practice quizzes to go with it. When it’s time for your CCMA, CMA, or RMA exam, everything is already here.

Hi! I'm Professor Melanie!

I've worked in healthcare since 1996, and I've been teaching future medical assistants and laboratory professionals since 2008. Today I'm a tenured associate professor of Medical Assisting and Medical Laboratory Technology with a Master of Science in Health Sciences. I hold the CMA (AAMA), CCMA, CMAA, CET, and MLS(ASCP)PBTcm  credentials, I'm a past president of the Ohio State Society of Medical Assistants, and I'm an AAMA Golden Apple Award winner.

About Me

Study help you can trust, made for your busy life.

I created Learn It with Prof. Melanie after seeing more and more "study materials" online that were quickly produced and full of incorrect information. Medical assisting students deserve better. When you're preparing for a career in healthcare, what you study needs to be right.

I also know that today's students are busy. Many of you are working, raising families, and going to school all at the same time. So I built something you can use on the go: short, clear lessons you can watch in a couple of minutes, study sheets you can review anywhere, and quizzes that help you check what you know.

My approach

Accurate – Every lesson is written and checked by a credentialed medical assisting and laboratory professional.

Short – Most lessons take under two minutes, so you can study between classes, on a break, or before bed.

Memorable – Memory tricks and stories help the information stick, from your first class to exam day.
